HEGEL power amplifiers are different than
other power amplifiers.
The basic technology used in almost
all power amplifiers on the market
are more or less the same.
Standard circuit configurations such
as global feedback technology or
local feedback technology are used.
These standard technologies has been
available for more than 30 years,
and is a mature technology. This
means most amplifier technologies
are more or less the same.
HEGEL decided there was no point in
making just another power amplifier using
the standard power amplifier technology used
by a lot of other audio amplifier manufacturers.
HEGEL wanted to do something
different.
All HEGEL
power amplifiers are divided into 2
completely separate circuit blocks:
the first amplifier block will
amplify the voltage and the second
amplifier block will amplify the
current to drive the connected
speaker.
All Hegel power amplifiers are using
completely separate power supplies
for the voltage amplifying block and
the current amplifier block. This
makes sure the sensitive voltage
gain block is not disturbed by the
high currents flowing in the current
amplifier block.
These new and innovative
technologies are designed to give
each separate amplifier block the
best possible work conditions, and
to prevent the different amplifier
blocks from having any influence on
each other. This gives the best
possible overall sound quality.

the sum of these new and innovative technological
solutions will give better sound
quality,
