HD10 High End Digital to
Analogue Converter (DAC)
Our customers
habits are constantly changing.
Even though most people still
prefer to own a complete CD,
with cover and literature, new
sources of music become
available all the time.
Computers are used to preview
music, to download movies, to
listen to internet radio or to
play video games. The future is
even more interesting, with high
resolution audio becoming
available using your computer as
the player.
With the new Hegel HD10 you can
connect all these new media
players and enjoy the music with
supreme sound quality. The
coaxial and optical connections
also allows you to significantly
improve sound quality from a
cable-TV decoder, a satellite
receiver, a CD-player or any
other device with a digital PCM
output.
Or why not
upgrade the sound of your SONOS
system? Or maybe your Apple
Airport Express WiFi system? The
HD10's flexibility is almost
endless. (Read more about
connections on the questions and
answers page)
The
HD10 will
also be a nice upgrade for most
CD-players on the market. Or you
can make use of the digital
output on your BluRay player.
This last option allows you to
listen to high resolution audio
from BluRay discs.

The HD10 has a high resolution
24 bit / 192 KHz D/A-Converter
inside. This makes it able to
handle the most advanced music
formats available today. We call
it Full-HD sound.
The USB port
on the HD10 is for computer
connection. The HD10 has a
built-in computer soundcard of
very high quality. By moving the
soundcard outside the computer
you reduce noise. Combined with
Hegel's advanced DAC-technology
you will improve sound quality
from computers quite a lot.
The
HD10 is, as all Hegel soundcards
is, a Plug&Play unit. No extra
drivers needs to be installed on
newer MAC's or PC's. HD10 uses
generic drivers so the computer
will immediately recognize it
and install it within seconds.
