Is the Hegel H10 available in different colors?
The Hegel H10 is only available in
black colour. The finish is made by blasting
the solid aluminium front panel with tiny glass particles and anodizing the surface.
Side panels
and top cover are brushed anodized
black.
Can the Hegel H10 be used with other Pre Amplifiers than the Hegel P10?
All the different Hegel units has got a neutral sound signature, so that they can be used together with
other high quality audio units from different manufacturers. However we recommend you to listen to a
combination of a H10 and a P10, since this combination has got a very high performance.
Is the Hegel H10 true balanced?
The balanced inputs of the H10 are as all the other Hegel units using true electronically balanced inputs.
Is the patented SoundEngine amplifier
technology used in the Hegel H10?
The H10 is using the new and
improved version of the patented
Hegel SoundEngine technology.
The SoundEngine modules are laser trimmed to an extremely low distortion.
What is the difference between the
H10 and the H4A mk2?
The main difference is that the
H10 has got an even better input
stage with lower distortion than
the H4A. The need to use
extremely well matched
components makes this product
impossible to mass-produce. The
voltage gain stage and output
stage is also further improved
compared to the H4A mk2.
What is the power consumption
of the Hegel H10?
Because of the SoundEngine
technology used in the H10,
there is no need to run a high
bias current in the output stage
of the amplifier. The H10 will as all the other Hegel
amplifiers use a minimum of
power in standby mode when it is
not playing music. The H10
will use about 100W of power in
standby mode.
